I know, we’re still in the middle of a trying time, but I still wanted to share a few 2020 summer trends that I am loving this season. Although we can’t be super out and about, perhaps you can take these trends for a social distanced road trip, or a quiet picnic with your SO or a friend or two.
I feel like every time this trend comes around, it’s always slightly different than the last. I’ve been loving the thin straps attached to these tops. I have another top almost exactly like this, but in black, because, two really is better than one. A top like this can easily be paired with an oversized blazer or denim jacket which transform it into a completely different vibe.
I usually am not a huge color person when it comes to my wardrobe, but as of late, I have been very into bright colors. I’m talking lime greens, hot pinks, pastel yellows, all of it. I recently received the cutest lilac jogger set from Girlfriend Collective and it’s easily become one of my favorite pieces of clothing. Especially with being at home more, it’s easy to throw on and instantly lifts my mood.
The balloon leg trend has been around for a bit. But I feel like it really showed up towards the tail end of Spring and into early Summer. These types of jeans are super comfortable because of the extra room in the leg department. They also provide nice structure and shape to a look, as most usually are 99%-100% cotton denim. This pair I have on was purchased from Zara in either late 2019 or early 2020, and as soon as I saw it, I knew I had to have it. I love the wash of this pair because it feels more summer appropriate and can easily pair with pastels.
I’ve always preferred more dainty jewelry, but this season, it seems like the minimalistic trend is everywhere. From barely there earrings, to thin chain necklaces and chokers, to stackable rings. I personally gravitate towards earrings when it comes to accessorizing my outfits, and this face pair is one that I find myself reaching for the most.
Those are the 2020 summer trends I am loving lately and that are currently filling up my closet. We still have a few weeks so if you haven’t gotten your hands on some of these, now’s the time!
Until next time…
