Floral Romper

So as you all may have seen from my previous post, I am OBSESSED with the 70s. For this post, I wanted to focus on PRINT.

Floral Romper

I’m not really a romper kind of girl. It’s not the thing I gravitate to (like, ever) when I’m shopping or picking out clothes, but I’ve been trying to get out of my comfort zone and wear items that I normally wouldn’t, mainly to embrace my body shape more. This floral romper is from my loves over at Ali & Jay and will definitely add some character to your fall rotation of clothes.

I love the pleated detail in the chest/torso region (very forgiving), and the ruffle detail on the sleeves and hem of the shorts. The back features a deep open split and the material is chiffon so you can rest assured you won’t feel any temperature discomfort.I brought out the navy velvet knee high boots to pair with the look and instantly felt like I was transported into the set of Austin Power’s Goldmember (if you’ve never seen the movie, you’re doing yourself a serious disservice). The boots gave this look a more fall feel as well.

It was only when I was thinking about the concept for this series that it dawned on me how retro the romper looked. The darker florals + burgundy tones really pay homage to that era with a modern twist. Fringe was definitely prevalent in that decade, so completing the look with my tried and true Who What Wear Collection Fringe Purse was an automatic yes for me. The cream plays off of the cream splatters on the romper itself.

I’ve linked some additional fall inspired rompers below!

Until next time…
