I love wearing shades. You guys see me wear them in almost every style post and my collection that started off with just two has grown into 12 and counting so I thought i’d share my four top shades for my first ever SS2018 sunglasses guide!
First up…
The Cat Eye. Cat Eye shades made came back on the scene super tough this season and I’m all the way here for it. These particular ones are giving me all the Sex & The City vibes. Initially, I felt that my face wasn’t suited for a small frame like this, but it has definitely grown on me and I plan to rock these for those times were I want to do the most and make a somewhat bold statement. Throw these on with a cute mini dress and espadrilles to amp up your summer/beach ready look.

Circular & Smokey. Rounded glasses have always been a comfort look for me. So no surprise here that these are going to be in heavy rotation this season. I also love the smokey gradient effect on the lens which I feel gives the shades a bit more dimension. And the off white/gold detailing on the rim is literally up my style alley!

Mirror/Reflective. If these don’t scream LA, I really don’t know what does. Rose Gold will always have a special place in my heart (and closet) which is what drew me to this pair in the first place. The aviator-esque style reminds me of my high school days when the only shape of eyewear I wore were aviators. These are like the more grown up sophisticated version. I can appreciate that this mirror is very much reflective, shielding any side eyes that I may (or may not) be giving to passer-bys ;)
Le Specs The Prince
Funky Shaped. I think it’s cool to have at least one pair of abnormally shaped shades in your collection this season. Definitely not necessary, but it adds some character to any outfit and this pair is just so cute to me! It reminds me of Betty Boop for some reason. I think it’s the way it curves upward and outwards. Sort of like a cat eye, but amped up.
