Red lips and the Christmas season go together like pumpkin pie and whip cream. No matter if you are a bright red type of girl, or a dark rouge type of woman, there is a red lip for everyone out there. The key to finding that perfect red lip is finding a shade that compliments your skin tone. I consider myself to be darker skinned so I love wearing deep red shades that pop against my skin tone.
This one I am wearing is Avenue by Colourpop Cosmetics. It is described as a yellow red, but on me it looks more of a brick red. I first lined my lips with a deep plum (MAC’s Nightmoth) lip liner to give the color a little more dimension. I went for a simple dramatic winged liner, added a darker brown shadow in my crease, a pop of gold in my tear duct, green shimmery shadow for my water line, and doubled up on my favorite mascara .
And since it’s the Christmas season, I figured this is the best time to do a GIVEAWAY!
