Wine Lip Colors

In this segment of The Beauty Edit, the focus is on lip colors to transition into fall with. My ultimate faves are colors in the berry/wine family. Dark berry and wine colors look great on ANY skin tone, but I looovvveee how it looks against darker skin tones. Sometimes we tend to shy away from colors that are bold. But colors like these compliment darker skin tones beautifully. Whatever your skin tone may be, rocking a bold berry lip can change your entire look like (snaps fingers) that!

Clockwise: MAC Heroine (Semi-Matte), MAC Rebel (Satin), ColourPop Dalia (Semi-Matte), NYX Copenhagen (Matte), Wet n’ Wild Sugar Plum Fairy (Cream), ColourPop Creature (Semi-Matte), MAC Smoked Purple (Matte)

Wet n’ Wild lipsticks retail for about $2-3 and you can find them at your local drug store. While it is SUPER pigmented, it does stain. It can look like you soaked your lips in a bowl of cherry kool-aid even after wiping it off.

MAC lipsticks retail for $17 and it is the first brand of lipstick I bought when I first started wearing real makeup (more than just bottom eyeliner). MAC has such a wide variety of colors that you’re pretty much destined to find one that works for you.

While MAC lipsticks are $17, you can get your hands on ColourPop’s lippie sticks for only $5! Although it takes a few swatches to get a nice color payoff, it’s definitely worth it!

NYX Soft Matte Lip Creams are only $6 and they are true to their name. It is super soft when applying and when it dries it is perfectly matte.

Do you guys own any of these lip colors? What’s your favorite? Let me know in the comments!
