An all black outfit is nothing new. But if you’re not careful, you can go from looking chic to looking funeral ready. Whenever I wear an all black outfit, I try to add some elements that will elevate the look:
Hats are your best friend on those days you choose to wear all black. I don’t know exactly what it is, but a good hat is almost like the icing on top of the cake. The cake being your outfit. A black hat can help to make the look feel a bit more street style. I chose this beret with a little pom pom at the top. I was a little hesitant on wearing this since I clearly have limited hair. But life is short and beret’s are super cute, so here I am! (Although I probably should’ve fluffed it out a bit more…woops!)
2. A detailed top can elevate an all black look from casual to dressy. Sure a plain black top is the easy way to go, but something with a little more detail makes an outfit come to life. I opted for this sheer ruffled one from Zara (similar). Because there are so many ruffles in the front, I felt comfortable enough just wearing a black bra underneath. If you’re wanting to keep the top simple, you can add some flare with a ruffled skirt instead.
3. Statement earrings can become the focal point of a look in the right way. You’ve all seen these tassel earrings their fair share of times on here and I still can’t get enough.
Now all I need is a Holiday party to debut this too. Whose am I invited too??
Until next time…
