“Easy does it”, my mom would always say every time I got worked up or stressed about something. From when I was little, this phrase was always a constant in our home. Back then I would brush it off and think, “just another mom saying” but now, the phrase has definitely resonated. Taking it easy really goes a long way. It means not worrying, not stressing, having faith, and just remaining calm and focused.  Today’s outfit reminded of that phrase. It’s been extremely humid this summer, which either leaves me wanting to stay in the house with the AC blasting, orrrrrr not wanting to wear anything at all. This lightweight tunic was the perfect solution to staying cool in this semi-unbearable heatwave.

I can appreciate those moments when pieces just work together (yes, it is possible to have “styling block” as I like to call it lol). With basic pieces, I usually like to spruce it up, in this instance, with a statement necklace from DSW and drop earrings. I think wide brim hats can make any outfit go from 0-100 real quick (shoutout to Drake), if paired correctly. Completed the look with my favorite Lolashoetique flats. This outfit screams softly whispers effortless and whimsical to me. Easy really does do it.
