Brown Shimmer Eye

Hey Y’all!

Today I’m sharing this brown shimmer eye look that will take you 5 minutes, no exaggeration. Some days we have time to sit in the mirror and take our dear precious time to get the look we want (for my birthday, it took me about 20 mins to do one eye), but most days, we are usually rushing but still want to look cute! The two palettes I used for this look are the Morphe Jewel Crew and the NYX Ultimate eyeshadow palettse. these are both inexpensive options to achieve a variety of fall looks AND have a nice balance of shimmers and mattes within each palette. Keep reading for the steps to achieve this look.

STEP BY STEP

I started off by applying a deep brown/rust color from the NYX palette into my crease using a blending brush (you see that color that has hit pan in the photo above…yea, that one)
~
Once the crease was blended out, I used my finger to apply the shade Flecks (a brown shade with flecks of gold) from the Morphe palette all over my lid, working it up into my crease
~
To deepen the outer V of my upper lid, I used the color Chocolate Diamond (a matte chocolate brown shade) Morphe Palette with a densely packed eyeshadow brush in stippling motions, blending into the Flecks shade
~
For the bottom lash line, I applied an emerald green shade from the NYX palette for a pop of color
~
To smoke it out a bit more, I added a black eyeliner to my waterline and dipped a shader brush back into the deep brown/rust color I used as a transition shade in my crease
~
Apply a generous coat of mascara (and falsies if you please)

For my lips, I used two different shades of “nude” to achieve the final look. I first applied the deeper nude shade which had hints of brown around my entire lip, then I applied the lighter nude shade in the middle to give some dimension.

And there you have it folks, a 5 min eye look for those days when you just need to get out the door.

Thanks for reading! Until next time…
