If there’s one thing I take delight in during the holidays, it’s a holiday themed cocktail! I’m sharing my take on a Cinnamon Spice Holiday Sangria. The combination of flavors, cinnamon, orange, and cranberries that are reminiscent of the season always leave me wanting more.

I love making sangria for the holidays. Something about it just makes me feel very cozy and warm. The key to this cinnamon spice holiday sangria is to let it marinate and sit for 2 hours (overnight would be even more ideal) to really let the flavors mix together and soak in.
The star ingredient of this holiday sangria is a *drum roll please* the cinnamon stick. I added this on a whim just to get an idea of what the flavors would be like. I was so happy at how the cinnamon flavor infused perfectly with the rest of the drink and it gave the perfect hint of spice.
The best wine for sangria (in my opinion) is a red blend. It’s not too dry or too sweet and can easily mesh with other ingredients mixed in. Also, be sure make this drink in a large pitcher and then distribute amongst each cup. The pitcher is also a great way to add decor to a food spread at a holiday get together.
For sangrias, I love serving them in short glass drinking cups or stemless wine glasses. I think it gives just enough. For a holiday party I hosted, I served them in clear Christmas ornaments. It was a cute way to keep everything tidy while also giving my guests the chance to have fun with the pouring.
Let me know if you make this Cinnamon Spice Holiday Sangria and how you like it!
Until next time…
