The title of this post comes from one of my favorite Nigerian hip hop songs at the moment called “Goody Bag“. My aunt brought me this skater dress from Nigeria about 3 years ago and this is the very first time I’m wearing it! Tsk Tsk! The dress is made out of Ankara print, a traditional fabric used by Nigerians and Ghanians to make traditional and modern wear. The material has become mainstream within the fashion industry with designers putting their own twists on it. I have more ankara fabric that my aunt brought this summer that I want to make into a nice tailored pant suit. I absolutely love the color and detailing of this dress though! It perfectly cinches my waist and give me a little shape that I do not have Lol. And I have a love-love relationship with all things skater style. I haven’t worn platform heels in sooooooo long but these Steve Madden peep toes just did it for me! Paired it with this gold plated belt and simple black bag to complete the outfit.

P.S: It’s so hard finding a wonderful location to shoot….soooooo sooooo soooo hard!
