Green Glitter Eyeliner for the Holidays: Step by Step Guide

This green glitter eyeliner look is easy enough to where you won’t be spending an hour on your makeup, but it also stands out on it’s own and definitely deserves some recognition. So without further adieu, keep reading on how to achieve this easy eye look.

STEP-BY-STEP

Prep by smudging concealer that is your skin tone color all over your eye lid

Place translucent powder under your eye to capture the fallout from the glitter

Create a winged line using a black liquid liner. I usually start at the outer corner of my eye, and work my way inward.

TIP: Using a black eyeliner as a base will allow for the glitter to pop, and also serves as a guide on where the glitter should be placed.

Squeeze glitter primer on to the back of your hand. With a liner brush, place the glue right where you created your wing liner

TIP: Focus on one eye at a time to avoid the glue drying up on the other eye

With the same liner brush (wipe the glue off), dip into your eye glitter and gently start placing it right on top of that glue.

TIP: Do this about 2 times to get maximum color payoff

Clean up any fallout around your eye using a clean liner brush and dust off the excess translucent powder with a bigger face brush

Apply a burgundy shimmer shade to your lower lash line

Finish off with a healthy dose of mascara (I’ve been using this one as of late) on both the top and bottom lashes, and falsies of your choice

And voila! You now have a standout look with this green glitter eyeliner. You can choose to keep you lips more neutral, or really delve into the holiday vibes like I did. For the lips, I used a deep burgundy shade from Colourpop. I’m really loving the formula of this particular shade. Although it’s their matte formula, it isn’t super drying on my lips. Which, as the weather gets colder, is a win!

The lashes are from Muslim and Black woman owned brand Nawal Lashes in the style “Aye Girl”.

Until next time…
