How to Incorporate Animal Print into Your Outfit

Today’s post is all about how to incorporate animal print into your outfit without it looking like a color riot (as my mom would say). Animal print is something that I feel very comfortable with styling. It elevates a look from 0 to 100 without having to do too much.

You know that feeling when you’ve had your eye on something for so long and you finally get your hands on it?? That’s how I feel about these faux snakeskin boots! I knew I had to have them and had already thought of the different outfits I would wear them with as soon as I got them. I wore them with this jumpsuit I shared on Instagram and today I opted for a cream denim midi skirt, which leads me to my first tip.

| Tip 1: One sure way to rock animal print without feeling overwhelmed is to stick with a neutral palette. I already really love styling neutrals so this was a no brainer. If you find yourself wanting to incorporate this print, creams, whites, tans, and blacks are a great starting point.

I love that these shoes are the statement piece of this outfit and really stand out. If you’re not completely comfortable with wearing an animal print top, pant, skirt, etc. then opt for accessories.

 | Tip 2: Animal print accessories is a great way to get your foot wet when it comes to rocking the trend. This can be earrings, belts, hair ties, shoes, etc.

Sometimes, the intimidation from animal print comes from there being too much of the print in one area. So if you’re new to the trend, tip #3 is just for you!

| Tip 3: Start off by purchasing a piece whose printing pattern is more scattered vs. tightly clumped together. This will eliminate the feeling that the print is wearing you, vs. you wearing the print.

And those are my tips on how to incorporate animal print into your outfit! Hope these were helpful.

Until next time…
