A leather jacket is one of those pieces of clothing that I’ve come to truly appreciate. It’s most definitely a staple for everyone’s closet, but also works really well in the LA winter and provides just enough warmth. In today’s post, I’m sharing a few ways on how to style a leather jacket, and how you can elevate this piece from casual to dressy.
As someone who jumps at the opportunity to accentuate my waist when I have the chance, I love pieces that automatically provide the means to do so. When I first spotted this jacket, I immediately knew I would appreciate the option to cinch it, which would automatically change the feel of the look. A cinched waist can move a look from a more relaxed one, to one that looks like a bit more effort was put into it. And a leather jacket is no exception.
Like a satin skirt (or in this case, a dress). It instantly gives the look a more polished feel while still allowing you to be a bit more casual. With adding more softer pieces to the look, you can make this both daytime and nighttime appropriate and we love a maximized wardrobe!
What I’m Wearing: J Lux Label Faux Leather Jacket (in nude and green; similar here) | Zara Turtleneck Sweater (in burgundy) | Asos Satin Dress (similar)| Zara Booties (similar and similar)
I love a good jacket and boot combo. It’s such a classic look and can also help to elongate your frame. For this look, I went with booties, as I wanted some skin showing. But a knee high boot would’ve also complimented this overall look, especially if you live in more colder regions and need to bundle up a bit more.
Thanks so much for reading, as always! I hope you found these tips helpful on how to style a leather jacket.
Until next time…
