The other day as I was on the train riding back home from school, I had a moment of awe as I looked into the sky and saw how fluffy the clouds look. Ok, you might be thinking why the heck is this girl talking about clouds?? But really, have you ever taken time to just look at your surroundings and realize how beautiful even the most minuscule of things are?

I occasionally look up at the clouds and brush them off but that day was different. I was looking at them with what I felt was a new pair of eyes. We all deal with so much in this life that finding peace in something like the clouds can be super relaxing. I continued to stare as my mind went to thinking, “Wow, God is truly amazing! He made all of these clouds, all of this earth under it, all of the billions of people on this earth, but right now, He’s looking at me. He’s listening to my prayers, my cried, my wants and needs”.

I urge you to take out the time to really appreciate life. Yes, it’s hard out here. Yes, things don’t go our way. And yes, we feel like giving up 90% of the time. But this life was meant to be appreciated, to be enjoyed. God has worked every single detail out for our good. Whether we realize it or not. Right now, I know that I am being tested. I just know it. But I know there’s a reason behind it. And all I can do is look up to the clouds and God, and appreciate life as it currently is.
