Tomorrow is International Women’s Day and I partnered with SheIn to share what it means to be a woman and some items that scream “Woman Power!”

In today’s society, with all the different issues going on around gender equality, it’s important for us as women to remember the strength we have in our womanhood. I mean, let’s be real, being a (confident) woman today requires some pretty thick skin. With different images being shoved down our timelines and newsfeed of the “ideal” woman, body type, career, education level, and trend, it can be quite overwhelming to try and grasp an understanding of your own womanhood and identity.

There’s no limit to the things we as woman can accomplish today. And I sometimes think we lose sight of the wonderful gift it is to be one. Yes, we are hit with monthly reminders that we would be more than happy to do away with, but Aunt Flow brings about something much more beautiful. Yes, we face inequality when it comes to wages, but that allows us to continue proving that what a man can do at the workplace, so can a woman. And yes, some days, we sit and think, “gah lee, we have it HARD!”, but that hardness builds durability. We are able to withstand situations without a smudge of our lipstick. As a woman, I may be emotionally led, but I can also stand my ground when needed. As a woman, I can be the housewife AND I can be the boss *cue Beyonce’s “Run the World (Girls)*

To me, nothing shouts “woman” more loudly than a flattering dress. This geometric print maxi style from SheIn is perfect for the upcoming spring. It is billowy, soft, and the perfect length. It’s long enough to still look flowy with heels, but  it doesn’t drag on the floor without them.  And this slit… EVERYTHING! I have listed a couple of other maxis from SheIn that are on my wishlist below!

FYI: The garment runs rather big up top. I ordered a Medium (I’m usually Small: Size 6) to be safe and I’m thinking a Small would’ve sufficed. Also, the print is tan and a dark navy blue (not black).
