Holiday Season = Party Season and if you’re anything like me, this is your time to SHINE! Literally and figuratively. Sharing this office holiday party outfit that is festive and fun.
Black on black is a classy combo that will never go out of style. It’s also pretty much appropriate for every type of holiday party. To know me is to know that I will always love an all black look. It’s sleek, it’s minimal, but with the right styling, it can still make a statement.
What makes this an appropriate office holiday party outfit is the length of the skirt. Since the top has some sheerness in the back, the skirt length helps to balance out the amount of skin that is showing. Same goes for the longer sleeves on the top. Although this may seem like a lot of material, it is actually quite lightweight, which makes it perfect for dancing.
Zara Organza Bow Tie Blouse | Zara Tulle Polka Dot Skirt | Zara Studded Belt | Tamara Mellon Heeled Sandal
The mix of organza and tulle is holiday in fashion form. These are some of my favorite fabrics to style during this season because it is a bit reminiscent scent of childhood for me. They remind me of the big poofy dresses my mom would dress my sister and I in for Christmas day service.
The big bow on this top is basically like the star on top of the tree. It draws just enough attention and adds a level of drama that plays well with the overall look. Whenever I wear an all black look, I like to make sure that I am amping the look up in different ways, through texture and volume mainly.
To tie it all in, of course I had to add some sparkly and gold elements, and this waist belt tied the look together just right.
And there you have it! My take on the all black look, perfect for an office holiday party outfit, or any party for that matter. I hope you find this post helpful!
Until next time…
