Happy Monday Everyone!

August seems to be wedding season! I had the pleasure of attending the wedding of two former college buddies last weekend. It was most definitely a reunion in there. People I haven’t seen since I graduated back in 2012. Crazy, right?? But it’s so amazing to me how you see people go from dating to officially married. It’s also nice to see that young people are still upholding the values of marriage and what it means. Especially as a Christian, marriage is definitely a feat we hope to attain one day on this earth.

I wore this light pink halter dress from SheIn which went perfectly with the dress code for the wedding guests: navy blue and light pink. It wasn’t until I arrived and people were calling me the black Marilyn Monroe that I realized how much this dress actually looks like something she would wear, and my blonde hair only added to the resemblance.

The dress is made out of a neoprene fabric which I freaking love because: 1) it isn’t prone to get super wrinkly and, 2) It holds it’s shape wonderfully. In this case, the baby doll/flare design perfectly extends out and adds a nice shape for those of us who aren’t that curvy. It is also extremely lightweight which was great for me because I was dancing my butt off. I did have to get the dress altered at the bust area because it was too big and fell a little too low for my liking. I am a Small/Medium (6) and this dress is a size Small

I kept the look very simple because I wanted the dress to have all the attention. Paired it with silver sandals I had from another wedding I was in a while back, and a pearl bracelet that was once my mothers. Hope you all have a wonderful week!
