We all know that being a SoCal native means that we have two seasons, Fall & Summer. Fall weather usually starts in the middle of October lasting through till May. Ok, maybe I’m being a bit dramatic. But our weather shifts are not at all as severe as some of the other cities in this country. But what I do like is that this Forever21 ribbed midi dress gets to stay in my closet and actually get worn. 

Not only is it a great basic to have in your closet year-round, but it is also such a great layering & transition piece. I paired the midi with a long sleeve button up shirt-dress from Zara and tied it across my waist. I pulled it off the shoulder for an even more feminine look.

For those random hot days Cali seems to have, this dress is light enough to work well. Additionally, it’s lightweight enough to be layered even in the Fall Winter! For a look on a cold day, I would pair this dress with black thigh high boots, black turtleneck, longline coat, and a wide brim hat.
