Rust In Peace

After a little hiatus due to moving back to the dirty D(istrict)…ok, not dirty, but you get my drift, I am officially back to blogging!

After Labor Day is basically fall right? Well, this DC weather isn’t getting the memo. The humidity out here is actually insane…this day we shot, the humidity level was at 99%…like why? But I do love pre-fall = the mix between still getting away with wearing a skirt but balancing it out with a long sleeve top or boots. Today I went with the former. I wore this outfit to a welcome happy hour with my MBA cohort and the new first years. It’s crazy to see these new first years and think that not too long ago I was just in that same position. Now, let’s talk about my obsession with this Misguided rust colored faux suede A line skirt. I am literally OBSESSED! You know it’s real when you open it out of the package and you’re jumping in excitement…or maybe that’s just me. I have already planned out 3 very different outfits, perhaps filming a “How To Style” lookbook? IMG_6794-1 I have a been a huge fan of muted colors for a couple months now. It’s simple yet stated. Black, white, gray, navy, nude, etc. colors basically go with everything. I kept this look neutral with an oversized denim button up and brown penny loafers.
