Things are in full swing for the holiday season which means that New Years is right around the corner! Sharing how I am styling sequin shorts that are perfect for a party, especially if you’re not into wearing dresses. These can also be dressed down with a pair of knee high boots and a coat. This pair I’m wearing immediately caught my eye when I was doing some shopping at Zara. The base of the shorts are velvet, which only made me love this even more.
I paired it with a sheer ruffle long sleeve blouse to bring a little more flair to this look. If it’s a bit more colder wherever you are, you can also pair with sheer rights and it’ll still give off the same vibe. I love this top because it’s up to you how much skin is showing. You can opt for a skin colored tank like I am wearing, or you can just wear your favorite black bra.

Can we briefly talk about how fast this year flew by. I say that almost every year but it’s just a testament to the fact that this life really is short. I am making it a point to focus on the things that truly matter to me, including cultivating strong relationships with the people in my life. It’s something I am always thinking about. In what ways can I show up for my loved ones, and in turn, in what ways can they show up for me.
This time of year allows me to take reminisce on all that has transpired throughout the year and I find myself sitting in a space of gratitude. Both for the people, and the connections that God has provided to me. It also helps to put things in perspective when I find myself questioning or second-guessing what it is I’m doing in my own life.
I hope this post on styling sequin shorts (and my thoughts on appreciating your loved ones) resonates with you. Thanks for reading!
Until next time…
