Today’s post is a special one because it features my sister and I rocking the EXACT. SAME. LOOK! Why you ask? Well, I wanted to show you all how dope the Who What Wear Collection is and how their clothing is flattering to every body type out there (we loved the way these utility jumpsuits looked on both of us and decided to pair it with their faux croc skin pointed toe heeled mules), and also give the opportunity to shed some insight into my sister and I’s relationship.
Our mom was very insistent on us being a close unit. She grew up with 7 siblings and they were all close, so she knew that only 2 girls could definitely have that same relationship.
Bunmi’s Journey to Body Positivity and Her Take on Inclusivity
When we decided to do this post, I wanted to also allow my sister the opportunity to share her own journey with coming to terms with her body. So please continuing reading below on her thoughts!
As a 5 foot 10 inch curvy/athletically built woman, lets just say it took a while for me to embrace all aspects of my body. Fashion has always been something that I loved and was infinitely inspired by. Ever since I was a child I was enamored with fabrics and prints and the way designers had the unique ability to combine them into a beautiful form of self expression. However, in my adolescence when my body began to form, I started to feel that passion slowly fade. I started limiting my options and rejecting bold or unique fashion choices, settling for the simple and basic.
Looking back, this sudden change in enthusiasm for fashion was most likely due to me not seeing my body shape represented when shopping. Whether that was the mannequins in the department stores or the models on the online sites, I seldom saw a body that looked like mine. So naturally, in true teenage girl fashion I excluded myself from many fashion choices in fear that they simply weren’t made for bodies like mine. Thankfully, now that I am an adult, I have slowly but surely gained a new sense of confidence and found my fashion footing that was lost amongst insecurity.
This is mainly due to brands like WhoWhatWear who allow women like myself to see themselves in their clothes, from their models on their sites to the size range options in store, even to their new extended shoe sizing (big feet girls stand up!). It’s brands like these that give me the confidence to tell little girls who were just like me that they are seen, and that fashion is a form of expression for everyone, no matter the size”
Thanks for reading and don’t be surprised if you see more of my sis on the blog!
Until next time…

Awww, I’m so happy that I came across your blog! I loved how you tailored fashion and your love for your sister all in this post. It was nice seeing both of your perspectives and seeing both of you rocking the heck out of those utility jumpsuits! I love the honesty and rawness in your sister’s response to body image and think it’s important that brands represent fashion for everyone, and this was great to see!
