White Culottes

The most coveted season in all that is fashion is officially upon us: Fashion Week! The shows, the street style, the shows, the photographers, the shows, the exposure. It’s the experience of a lifetime that many bloggers hope to achieve, myself included. Basically, a dream. I wanted to showcase an outfit that I would for sure wear if I was out there: hello white culottes!

This pair is from Zara and man oh man. First off, anything structured gets an A++ in my book! I remember when I wore culottes back in the day, the jersey kind. Yea, not cute. But this pair is a far cry from those and they are really lightweight and flow ever so nicely.

I came across this quote from Viola Davis’ instagram page that I think perfectly depicts how I’m feeling at the moment: “Little girls with dreams become women with vision”. I love this quote because it encourages girls and women to dream and dream big. Despite the restrictions that society tries to put on us or the box that they try to fit us all in, we push those boundaries and set those goals.

Now more than ever do I have to constantly give myself the encouragement to just make it through the day. I reminisce on those dreams I once had with my mom in the picture and now try to imagine those dreams without her. And it’s hard to do. But I do it because I am still here. I still have time to make a difference, to make an impact, to fulfill that dream. I’m excited for that moment that I get to attend fashion week.
