Not all jumpsuits are created equally. I’ve always shy-ed away from them because I never found any that fit properly on my athletic frame. Either the legs were at an odd length, the material was completely unflattering, or the bodice had an ill fit. But then came along this Asos Structured Jumpsuit and I was in LOVE!
While I do have plans to re-wear this jumpsuit in many different ways, I knew the first way I wanted to style it was more on the casual side. Pairing it with a simple crew neck white tee was the immediate look that came to mind. This jumpsuit can be styled in SO many different ways, including wearing it with a turtleneck (both short and long sleeve), a ruffled top, underneath a chunky sweater, or super dressed down with an oversized jean jacket and a pair of sneakers.I kept the overall look a bit more simple with a sleek braided ponytail, my black one toed mules, and this beaded Zara bag that always seems to tie a look together.

Now, on to the good stuff. Below, I’m breaking down the ins and outs of styling the jumpsuit for my body type. Along with sharing some options that I’m loving at that moment, including some I already own!
For sleeveless jumpsuits, I prefer those that have a deeper v and a structured sweetheart neckline. I do like to accentuate my shoulders in the most flattering way possible, and sometimes with different jumpsuits, the fit will look off because while it may fall nicely on my shoulders, it doesn’t translate that nicely everywhere else.
A cropped wide leg jumpsuit is always a win for me because, in a sense, it fills me out. I naturally have narrow hips and have learned to accept them how they are. But, I still like to make sure that whatever I am wearing highlights them in the best possible way. A wide leg on a jumpsuit helps to fill in the gaps from my waist down.
Rompers is category of jumpsuit that I have consistently struggled with. But what I have found that I like best is those with some sort of cutout action going on. I also like those that have a more structured fit to them.
A tie waist jumpsuit is a perfect way to get that cinched waist look that you are most comfortable with. My body is more of an athletic build so I don’t have many dips or curves per say. But I do have a cinch in my waist that isn’t naturally defined. A tied waist jumpsuits helps me to define what is already there.
